About
Vale Trail 6
Recently featured in The Times in an article detailing ’20 of the UK’s most beautiful woodlands for winter walks, this delightful, refreshing walk includes a glacial valley, the Cwm George Iron Age hill fort, and, if you’re lucky, the occasional leaping salmon, or so legend has it....
It starts in the charming village of Dinas Powys, before passing through fields and forests, and following the Wrinstone Brook. The route is a ‘figure of eight’ so you can choose a shorter 3 mile option.
The route is dog-friendly, but be aware of some livestock, a few stiles, and short sections on quiet roads.
