About
Barry Christmas Festival
Barry Christmas Festival returns once again to King Square and Central Park, with a partnership event brought to you by Barry Town Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council.
The festival is being held on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November 2024, with wonderful festive fun across both days.
Friday 22nd November will see the return of the annual lights switch-on. The Town Hall, Christmas tree and town centre will be lit up after a countdown with Santa and his elves from 6pm on King Square.
The event will be open from 3pm until 7pm on the Friday, with a Christmas market, live music, funfair rides along the pedestrianised area of Holton Road, plus light arches, a food zone and bar area, street entertainment and Santa’s grotto.
The festivities continue on Saturday 23rd November with the event open from 12pm until 7pm.
On Saturday come along and meet Lumi – the magnificent 4-metre-tall illuminated Christmas Reindeer. Lumi the Reindeer will be at the event on King Square, from 12pm to 7pm.
The Christmas Market will feature over 30 traders, selling personalised gifts, crochet, candles & jewellery, as well as cakes, honey, fudge and alcohol – perfect for getting your Christmas gifts from local independent businesses.
