The Great Glamorgan Way

The Great Glamorgan Way

Crisscrossing five counties in South Wales the Great Glamorgan Way is a magnificent network of connecting bridleways and cycle paths taking in all that is great in the counties of Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Vale of Glamorgan.

The Great Glamorgan Way project has enabled existing routes to be restored and created additional routes. Along the Great Glamorgan Way new way markers and gates with extended handles have been installed to improve access for users.

The project aims to create a variety of connecting trails from mountain to coast, from forest to valley, allowing everyone to explore the beautiful South Wales from their saddles or their shoes - be that on horse, on bike, or on foot. Look out for biodiversity improvements such as hedge planting, bird boxes and insect homes. We run volunteer days hedge planting, balsam bashing and litter picks.
