The Welsh Encontro Cymru 2025 will bring together the best of Brazilian beats, with live performances from top musicians, from across the country.

Enjoy the infectious energy of bloco percussion, the soulful sounds of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, with a dazzling explosion of colour!

The festival will take place across two locations:

Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May

Live Busking at Barry Island Prom - 10am to 4pm

Free to attend - enjoy samba beats by the sea, over the two days

Festival Showcase at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry - 6pm

Mass Busk at Barry Island Prom - 1pm

Free to attend, as all the visiting bands come together to play and dance by the sea. Prepare your ears for something fabulous!
