The village pub and restaurant with its open fire is approximately 300 yards away, as is the beautiful church and duck pond. A little further along the road are fishing lakes. Two miles away is the old market town of Cowbridge with its many fine restaurants and shops. Cardiff, the capital city of Wales with its superb museum and castle is a 20 minute drive away. The historic coastal town of Llantwit Major and the Heritage Coast with its coastal path is a 10 minute drive away. The beaches are great for surfing or just lazing about. There are many fine golf courses in the area and golfers may use our fields to practice their driving provided they inform us first. Other activities nearby are horse riding on the beach and sand dunes, mountain biking and go karting.
Facilities in the cottage include a TV/DVD, CD player, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, built in electric oven and LPG hob and microwave.. The bathroom has a bath with separate shower cubicle. Outside there is a paved patio with a picnic bench, BBQ and rotary line. Sun loungers are available.
Penyrheol Farm is no longer a working farm and visitors can have the pleasure of walking around our fields. Guests may bring their dogs/cats by arrangement. One of our stables has been converted into a heated kennel so that guests can leave their dog with us should they want an away day. Longer term and weekend break rates are available.
