Vale of Glamorgan Farmer's Market (Cowbridge Farmer Market)
Vale of Glamorgan Farmer's market is a group of local primary producers who sell their produce in Cowbridge every Saturday morning from 9am till 1pm from Arthur John Carpark, North Road, Cowbridge.
Organised and run by a voluntary committee formed from stall holders, it has been running since June 2000. All stall holders live within 40 miles of Cowbridge. The market offer a huge range of fresh and seasonal produce, the majority of the stall holders attend every Saturday with some attending fortnightly and some monthly. This ensures the market is a little different every week and remains fresh and vibrant.
Produce sold includes beef, lamb, pork, bacon, poultry, game, cheese, eggs, fruit, vegetables, bread, fish, preserves, local raw honey, cordials, cakes, granola, locally roasted coffee beans, brownies, welshcakes, pastel de nata, quiches, pork pies, scotch eggs, milk, yogurt, cream, beer, cider, wine, goats milk soaps and creams, sheepskin rugs, herbs and plants, ghee, handmade pasta, non alcoholic beer, water kefir and fermented foods, dog treats.
The market enables producers to sell individually or collaboratively, such as the Glamorgan Smallholders, an association of small-scale farmers and those who keep animals as a hobby in the area of Glamorgan and produce skilled and crafted products from their holdings.
The market has a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere and there is something for everyone, so drop in, savour and enjoy products produced from the Vale and surrounding area.
